The Sheaf Sports Yorkshire & Derbyshire League

Welcome to the website of The Sheaf Sports Yorkshire & Derbyshire League.

We are a Saturday league established in 1969, and for 2010 we welcome 6 new teams and 2 new clubs to boost our numbers to record levels. We run 5 divisions with 54 teams, spread over Sheffield and North East Derbyshire, from as far North as the town of Stocksbridge to as far South as the village of Stanton in the Peak to the West and Wingerworth to the East.

Our premier competion plays for the Norman Moody Cup, which has been won by the following clubs:

10 times - Parkhead (including 1 shared title);
8 times - Hundall (including a record 7 in a row);
6 times - Hathersage (including 1 shared title); Old Edwardians;
4 times - Stainborough (including 2 shared titles); Sheffield Works Department;
3 times - Sheffield Collegiate;
1 time - Sheffield Centralians; Stanton in the Peak.

We are always looking for clubs to join our ever expanding League, and would look to place new clubs at a level appropriate to their relevant standard.

Any club interested in joining the League can contact the Secretary or Website Administrator at the email addresses noted in "About Us".
